North Bay was identified as one of five sites that have been preselected as a potential site for the construction of a future casino facility. At this point, no decisions have been made by the OLG or the City of North Bay regarding a casino being built in North Bay. As part of the RFI process, the OLG is requesting that the City of North Bay express whether or not it would be supportive of the construction of a new casino within its jurisdiction. Prior to the City issuing any type of response to the OLG, it would like to hear from its residents whether they are supportive or opposed to the concept of a casino being located in North Bay. Members of the public will have an opportunity to make a presentation before Council at this Public Meeting on Aug 22, 6pm at City Hall council chambers.
