Car Seat Clinic - free - Car Seat Clinics are offered monthly in Huntsville and Gravenhurst, and are run by trained car seat technicians with the OPP, Huntsville Community Policing, local Fire Departments and the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit. Huntsville clinics are held the first Thursday of every month at the Huntsville Fire Department, 1 Payne Drive, from 12pm-2pm. Gravenhurst area clinics are held the second Thursday of every month at the Gravenhurst Fire Hall, 190 Harvie Street, from 12pm-2pm. Appointments are not required.

Winter Night Sky & Candlelight Walk - We picked this date because the final major meteor shower of every year (unless one surprises us!) is always the December Geminid shower, often producing 50 or more meteors per hour. Best of all, the new moon guarantees a dark sky – although Dahl Forest probably has a darker sky than you may be used to because there are no bright lights nearby. But what stars and planets are visible in the December night sky?
Join Carl Bignell for an informative look upwards and make sense of all those stars. You'll also take a short candlelight walk through the forest. Remember to dress warmly for this lovely evening outdoors.
